Pimple remedy nr 1. – Aspirin
The active ingredient in aspirin is salicylic acid—the same key ingredient in many acne cosmetics. You can make your pimple treatment in less than a minute: Crush one aspirin pill in water and make a paste. Apply the paste directly to the pimple with a cotton swab and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then rinse off with warm water.
Pimple remedy nr 2. – Honey
Honey (especially Manuka Honey) is known for its excellent antibacterial properties, as it helps to clean the skin pores and prevents the growth of acne-promoting microbes. Clean your face and apply some honey with your fingertips on your pimples. Leave it on for at least one hour or overnight and then wash it off.

Lemon juice is a citric acid which is very rich in vitamin C, what’s more, it’s a great overnight home remedy for pimples! It exfoliates the skin, an important step in treating acne. All you need to do is squeeze in some lemon juice, apply it on the pimples and leave it overnight. Lemon juice can also be very drying. This is great for pimples but can be hard on the skin. Mixing a dab of honey will help to balance the dryness.

Papaya contains an enzyme called papain which is used to decrease the inflammation and it helps in controlling the pus formation in acne. Mash up the pulp of papaya well and then apply it on the affected area (or on your entire face), let it work its magic for 20- 30 minutes and then gently wash it off. Pimple remedy nr 5. – Tea Tree Oil
Due to its strong antibacterial properties, Tea tree oil is an effective cure for pimples. Unlike the natural oil produced by your skin, it acts as a solvent and penetrates through the extra sebum, unblocks the pores and eliminates the dead cells. Remember to dilute the tea tree oil before you use it on your pimples. You can mix in a ratio 1: 9 (oil to water). Wash your face with warm water and then use a cotton ball to apply the diluted mixture on the problem areas with acne.

Aloe vera gel has a pleasant soothing effect on the skin with acne. In addition to its antibacterial properties, it also reduces redness and swelling. Aloe vera is a nice indoor plant, so you should consider growing it at home. But you can also buy the extracted gel in a drug store.

Baking soda is a well-known home remedy for getting rid of pimples. It has mild but potent antiseptic properties; it destroys fungus and bacteria while it sucks up excess oil. Baking soda also stimulates the growth of new skin cells. Thus, your skin becomes softer and more attractive. You can mix equal portions of baking soda with water to form a thick paste and put it on your pimples. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. Rubbing an ice cube on your face helps to shrink the area affected by acne, bring down the burning sensation and lessen the swelling. It is also effective in reducing inflammation. It helps to improve the blood circulation when applied on pimples.
Pimple remedy nr 9. – Toothpaste
Take a small amount of toothpaste (with a low fluoride content) on your fingertips and apply it on your pimples. Leave it on overnight, and wash your face with cold water the next morning. The antimicrobial properties present in toothpaste might help in treating your pimples overnight. But note: Avoid teeth whitening kinds of toothpaste and remember to choose a toothpaste with low fluoride content. Organic toothpaste could be the best bet in this regard.
