What are the benefits?
Our Women's Best Selenium 2-Complete® blends two selenium types in one premium formula. Our aim was to create a product that harnesses the benefits of both selenium compounds.
We chose inorganic selenium, sodium selenite, for rapid absorption and direct action in the body and added organic selenium, selenomethionine, to our formula, which remains available in the body for longer with a twice-as-long half-life. This selenium form boasts the highest bioavailability among all selenium compounds with an absorption rate of 80-100%, facilitating long-term retention in the body.
The thyroid gland, containing the highest selenium concentration in the body, plays a pivotal role in vital metabolic processes. Selenium is essential for maintaining immune function, strengthening the body's defenses, and shielding cells from oxidative stress, free radicals, and inflammation. Additionally, this trace element is critical for reproductive function, supporting fertility, and aiding in sperm cell formation. Studies have also demonstrated selenium's potential in restoring disrupted circadian rhythms.
Selenium, a vital trace element, is found in soil and plants, constituting an essential component of numerous enzymes and proteins. It enters our bodies through plant and animal foods, as well as water. The selenium content in our food is largely determined by soil selenium concentration and other factors. Because of this variability, dietary intake alone may not meet individual micronutrient requirements. The majority of selenium is stored in skeletal muscle, accounting for approximately 28-46% of the total selenium reserves.
Thanks to the unique combination of two different selenium compounds in our Women's Best Selenium 2-Complete® Capsules, just one capsule contains 200mcg of selenium, making it easy to meet your daily selenium requirements.

The perfect duo.
Our Women's Best Selenium 2-Complete® formula combines 2 different types of selenium in a high-quality complex, harnessing the benefits of both inorganic (sodium selenite) and organic selenium compound (selenomethionine).
Optimal dual selenium blend.
Optimal selenium replenishment.
Our blend features inorganic sodium selenite for quick absorption and immediate effects, complemented by organic selenomethionine with its long half-life and outstanding bioavailability, ensuring sustained selenium storage in the body.
Scientifically proven effect for hair, nails & more.
Selenium is a component of many enzymes and proteins, playing a role in various reactions in the body. According to health claims evaluated by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), selenium makes a significant contribution to various bodily functions:
- Selenium contributes to normal sperm formation
- Selenium contributes to the maintenance of normal hair
- Selenium contributes to the maintenance of normal nails
- Selenium contributes to the normal function of the immune system
- Selenium contributes to normal thyroid function
- Selenium contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress

Superior bioavailability.
Women's Best Selenium 2-Complete® offers an excellent combination of sodium selenite and selenomethionine, ensuring maximum bioavailability of selenium. The inorganic sodium selenite is quickly absorbed and acts immediately, while the organic selenomethionine provides a sustained supply due to its long half-life and high absorption rate of 80-100%.
Essential for thyroid function.
Selenium is crucial for the function of the thyroid gland, which contains more selenium than any other organ. This trace element protects the thyroid gland from oxidative damage and plays a vital role in the production of thyroid hormones. These hormones regulate metabolism and are responsible for many growth processes. They also increase the basal metabolic rate and energy consumption of the entire body.

Protects cells from free radicals.
As a powerful antioxidant, selenium protects our body cells from damaging oxygen compounds known as free radicals. Free radicals are produced by factors such as tobacco and alcohol consumption, as well as UV radiation. Selenium helps prevent the excessive formation of free radicals, thereby counteracting various diseases.

Important for fertility.
Selenium promotes female fertility by protecting egg cells from oxidative stress through its antioxidant properties. Supplementing with selenium can become particularly important with increasing age, as women's fertility begins to decline from the age of 30.
