What are the benefits?

First of all, we want to emphasize our clear distinction between omega-3 products of unknown origins and no brand name. Instead, we would like to explain the reasons and benefits of relying on established premium omega-3 brands such as Epax®, Golden Omega®, and life's®OMEGA.

These three omega-3 suppliers deliver essential fatty acids in their natural triglyceride form, allowing for better absorption by the body and thus ensuring maximum bioavailability. All our formulations, whether from fish oil or algae oil (vegan), have a particularly high content of omega-3, EPA and DHA.

Our Complete Vegan Omega-3 softgel capsules with 2000mg algae oil are sourced from life's®OMEGA, a brand of DSM Nutritional Products, which specializes in plant-based, sustainable omega-3. We guarantee the highest quality, effectiveness, purity, and, most importantly, transparency.

From heart attacks and mental illness to premature births – science underscores the importance of omega-3.

From heart attacks to mental illness to premature births, scientific research underscores the importance of omega-3. A deficiency in omega-3 fatty acids is conclusively linked to an increased risk of sudden cardiac death, heart attack, stroke, and high blood pressure. Pregnant women are also at risk, as an omega-3 deficiency may be associated with premature birth and complications. Additionally, omega-3 deficiency is common in depressed individuals and can elevate the risk of suicide. This deficiency may also manifest as poorer brain performance, memory problems, longer reaction times, and conditions such as dementia.

As our bodies cannot produce these essential, long-chain fatty acids ourselves, obtaining them through our diet is imperative. The primary omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), are predominantly found in fatty fish, which often results in an omega-3 deficiency in people who follow a vegan or vegetarian diet.

Examining the omega-3 supply in the UK clarifies that we are not alone in this challenge. The average omega-3 index in the UK is 4% or below, whereas an index of 8 to 11% is considered optimal. This shows that the majority of people struggle to get enough omega-3 fatty acids from their diet alone.

Omega-3 plays a pivotal role in our health, making it crucial to provide our body with the required quality. In the case of omega-3, we prioritize transparency and the disclosure of the raw material brand. This is because there is a risk that omega-3 is sourced from fish waste of unknown origin, contains impurities, and may even be contaminated with high levels of heavy metals.

Women's Best Complete Vegan Omega-3 Softgel Capsules provide your body with high-quality, essential omega-3 fatty acids, supporting your heart, brain, eye functions, and mental health, as well as pregnancy and breastfeeding.

How do I take it?

Take two softgel capsules daily with a meal and plenty of liquid.

(Always consult with your healthcare practitioner before starting any supplements whilst pregnant or breastfeeding.)

360° care.

Balanced ratio of omega-3, DHA and EPA.

Each daily serving (2 capsules) provides 2000mg of algae oil from life's®OMEGA, comprising 1100mg of omega-3 fatty acids, including 600mg of DHA and 300mg of EPA. This meticulously balanced combination plays a pivotal role in supporting diverse bodily functions and contributes to overall health. Notably, DHA is recognized for its positive effects on brain function, vision, and blood lipid levels (triglycerides), while EPA supports anti-inflammatory processes, enhances mood, and may alleviate symptoms of depression. Collectively, DHA and EPA promote heart function and contribute to maintaining normal blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Omega-3 deficiency. Possible symptoms.

An omega-3 deficiency can give rise to a range of unpleasant symptoms and health problems. Among the most common symptoms are sensitive eyes and diminished vision, as omega-3 fatty acids are vital for the health of the retina. Additionally, poor concentration and memory problems may occur, as these fatty acids play a crucial role in brain function. Muscle weakness and compromised blood circulation are other potential consequences that can result in reduced physical performance.

Scientific studies also indicate that a deficiency in omega-3 fatty acids is linked to an increased risk of serious health problems. These include cardiovascular diseases such as sudden cardiac death, heart attacks, strokes, and high blood pressure.

Pregnant women may face risks, as a shortage of omega-3 fatty acids has been associated with premature births and complications. Moreover, it has been observed that omega-3 deficiency is prevalent in individuals with depression and can elevate the risk of suicidal thoughts. Impaired brain function, prolonged reaction times, and conditions such as dementia can further manifest as symptoms of deficiency.

Omega-3 deficiency in vegans.

Individuals who follow a vegan diet face the challenge of meeting their omega-3 requirements without resorting to fish oils. Omega-3, including eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), plays a central role in maintaining health, but these fatty acids are predominantly found in fatty fish. Consequently, a purely plant-based diet often does not provide adequate omega-3 fatty acids, putting vegans at an increased risk of omega-3 deficiency. Supplementation with omega-3 is essential to ensure a balanced diet and optimal health.

We exclusively rely on life's®OMEGA for our omega-3 needs. This premium source of omega-3 fatty acids is derived from algae, offering a vegan-friendly alternative that is rich in both EPA and DHA. We choose life's®OMEGA not only because it meets the nutritional requirements of vegans but also because it represents a sustainable and environmentally friendly option.

1.4 kg of salmon per week?

We acknowledge that salmon is not a part of a vegan diet. Nevertheless, we would like to underscore the importance and, simultaneously, the challenge of ensuring an adequate supply of omega-3, DHA, and EPA for the body – especially for vegans and vegetarians. These essential fatty acids are not produced by the body and must be exclusively obtained from food. Fatty fish species, such as salmon, are recognized as an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids. However, consuming approximately 1.4 kg of salmon per week to meet the recommended daily requirement of 2,000-4,000mg is impractical.

According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), this daily dose is necessary to achieve a reduction in blood pressure and triglyceride levels. Triglycerides are a type of fat that serves as a crucial source of energy for the heart and other parts of the human body. Elevated triglyceride levels are associated with adverse health effects[1].

To prevent a general omega-3 deficiency, a daily dose of 250-500mg DHA+EPA is recommended, which can be easily achieved by taking two Complete Vegan capsules. These capsules provide a total of 2000mg of algae oil (life's®OMEGA), including 1100mg of omega-3, 600mg of DHA, and 300mg of EPA, all in the natural triglyceride form.

The natural triglyceride form = up to 71% better absorption.

Omega-3 fatty acids are available in two different forms: natural triglycerides and ethyl esters. A study has demonstrated that the body absorbs omega-3 fatty acids from triglycerides 71% more efficiently than from ethyl esters. Another study revealed that free fatty acids are absorbed 400% more efficiently than ethyl esters.

These findings underscore the crucial role of the triglyceride form in achieving maximum bioavailability of omega-3 fatty acids. By intentionally choosing the triglyceride form, we ensure that the essential fatty acids in our Complete Omega-3 capsules can be optimally absorbed and utilized by the body.

Omega-3 in sport.

Omega-3 is especially crucial for fitness enthusiasts and sports athletes, as the demand for these fatty acids significantly rises during intensive training. These acids play a pivotal role in recovery, muscle function, and the regulation of inflammatory processes.

The beneficial impact of omega-3 extends to the rejuvenation of muscles and tissues after physical exertion, potentially resulting in reduced recovery time between training sessions. Additionally, it contributes to fortifying the cardiovascular system and supporting joint health.

Therefore, our Women's Best Complete Omega-3 capsules are the ideal supplement for individuals seeking to enhance their athletic performance and overall health. They can make a substantial contribution to an effective training routine and long-term well-being.

Omega-3. Benefits during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

DHA is regarded as an essential nutrient for the healthy development of the baby. It contributes to the formation of crucial neuronal and cognitive functions, the unborn child's visual acuity, as well as prenatal and postnatal body growth.

Regular omega-3 intake also demonstrates a remarkable 42% reduction in the risk of premature birth, as evidenced by a 2018 study[1] involving 20,000 pregnant women. Simultaneously, maintaining a balanced omega-3 intake yields positive effects for the mother, lowering the risk of high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia during pregnancy, and postnatal depression after birth.

In this unique phase of life, prioritizing the highest quality of raw materials becomes more crucial than ever. We place our trust in Omega-3 from life’s®OMEGA to address the needs of both mother and child at the highest level during this significant period.

Always consult with your healthcare practitioner before starting any supplements whilst pregnant or breastfeeding.
